Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing)
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role manages procurement, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient operations, cost control, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to improve supply chain performance and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with production goals and business objectives.
- Oversee production planning in coordination with manufacturing teams.
- Manage procurement processes, including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and customer shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency and minimize waste.
- Manage risk mitigation strategies related to supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain a robust process for tracking imposed tariffs, ensuring accurate application and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and strengthen PPV (Purchase Price Variance) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) processes to ensure cost control, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze supply chain data and KPIs (OTD, inventory health/aging, PPV, supplier performance) to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making; publish metrics, lead reviews, drive action closure, and report status to leadership on a defined cadence.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain and logistics staff.
- Foster a culture that recognizes and celebrates team accomplishments to sustain engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Senior Supply Chain Professional with 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specializing in:
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and production planning
- Proven ability to facilitate team engagement and execution during conflict/high-pressure discussions.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Change management experience
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of ISO9001/13485
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-site & international sourcing and global logistics experience.
- Professional certifications (ASCM CPIM/CSCP, CPSM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and supply chain optimization
- Cost reduction & process improvement track record
