Financial Analyst

We’re looking for a hands-on financial analyst who thrives in a growing medical device manufacturing company with multiple sites. The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting on manufacturing costs to support accurate financial reporting and informed business decisions. This role partners closely with Operations and Procurement leadership to improve cost controls, standard costing accuracy, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly close activities, including variance analysis, reconciliations, and publishing key financial metrics
  • Analyze gross margin and cost variances (purchase price variances, labor, and scrap) and provide actionable insights
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead
  • Support and optimize ERP workflows tied to inventory, costing, and reporting
  • Partner with operations and engineering to evaluate cost impacts of process changes, new products, and capital investments
  • Ability to structure, document, and improve processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional attitude and a team player
